Our Yogananda statue goes to India

Two replicas of Gary Roller’s model for the large statue for Yogananda Gardens were carried to India on a recent “Footsteps of the Masters” pilgrimage. One was presented to tour leaders Kesheva and Daya Taylor as a gift from the pilgrims (left photo).  The second was presented to Somnath and Sarita Ghosh (right photo) at Yogananda’s childhood home in Kolkata (Calcutta).   Somnath is the grandson of Sananda Lal Ghosh, Yoganada’s brother.    The Ghoshes  had visited Yogananda  Gardens in June of 2015 and in this way the Gardens returned the visit in the form of the statue.
